Dear William :

I am writing to record the College's grateful thanks to BE Education Ltd for their professional assistance in developing and delivering our successful Eton College Chinese Summer School, which has been held here each summer from 2005 to 2016. Over the 12 Summer Schools,BE sent more than 1500 students from China to Eton, all of whom greatly enjoyed and benefitted from the experience, both educationally and culturally.

The BE and Eton teams worked well together and, over the years, secured a good reputation for the Eton Chinese Summer School in China as well as delivering a commercially successful programme, Thanks to the strength of the working relationship between BE and the College, we were even able to ensure the course was delivered in a year when the College had to close because of the swine flu outbreak. In that year, BE Education worked (on less than a month's notice) with both Charterhouse and ourselves to relocate the course to Charterhouse and ensured that the students were well taken care of and had a great time. The College did not suffer financially as a result and all staff contracts for the Summer Course were honoured.

We have found BE Education to be well organised and professional in their dealings both with us and the students, schools and parents and have demonstrated consistently high standards. We can also confirm that BE Education is a reliable commercial partner, delivering and exceeding the target number of summer course students each year and making payments on time, and in full, every year for 12 years.

BE Education were also kind enough to organise and sponsor the Eton College Choir's tour to China in 2013. This tour was a highlight for our choir in recent years and was a great success both in terms of giving the choir the experience of undertaking an overseas tour with a large number of concerts and rehearsals but also in terms of the cultural and educational programme put in place for their benefit. For example, BE Education brought on board a number of prestigious Chinese schools enabling boys to meet their peers and hear from them directly when visiting Chinese landmarks. As with everything we have seen from BE the tour was well run and the cooperation and teamwork with the College was first rate.

Yours Sincerely,

Waldegrave
